GIANTS HIT 50 VS HULL FC... AGAIN! | MATCH REPORT

Huddersfield Giants blew Hull FC away in a sensational first half as they picked up another two points on the road.

The Giants raced into an early lead after just seconds, Matty English powered his way through some poor FC defence, and his break set up Adam Swift, who scored in the corner.

There was momentary respite for Hull FC, Liam Sutcliffe scoring from a Ligi Sao offload, however we hit the front again through the wingman.

Lewis Martin dropped the ball in contact and this left Adam Swift free to race over and grab his second, the first half already looking ominous for Tony Smith’s men.

Another couple of tries came for the Giants, through a delicate kick from Adam Clune, which saw Jack Murchie slide over, and then a quick play-the-ball saw Ashton Golding send Esan Marsters over, all in-between another try from Liam Sutcliffe, leaving the scores at 10-24.

The Giants weren’t done there though, as they were determined to finish the Black and Whites off in the first half.

Adam Swift got another hat-trick vs Hull FC, as a sensational offload from Leroy Cudjoe allowed him to step inside Lewis Martin to score.

Captain Luke Yates then took a crash ball at the line, as FC started to implode, giving away penalties and easy field position for the Giants, he slid over to push our lead out further.

There was time for one more try before half-time, from Kevin Naiqama after a sweeping move saw Jake Connor slip him in.

All the tries but one converted by Jake Connor, seeing Ian Watson’s men 40-10 to the good at the break, a sensational first half performance.

Hull FC would grab the first score in the second half, a dummy-half dive from Nu Brown, but as the game was already won, it was mere consolation, with another Giants try coming soon after.

A mesmerising run from Tui Lolohea 40m out saw him break through and hand off Logan Moy to acrobatically finish in the corner.

He was over the line again, through some good work from Sky Sports Player of the Match Adam Swift, he raced down the line and passed for Tui Lolohea to canter over.

As the game drew to a close, Ligi Sao was sin-binned for a second time, before Franklin Pele took advantage of some tired defending to get himself on the scoresheet.

In the final seconds, Jake Bibby rounded off an enjoyable afternoon as he powered his way through former Giant Darnell McIntosh to score.

The Huddersfield Giants ran out 20-56 winners, the first time we’ve hit 56 points since Catalans in Round 10, 2017.
